The last scheduled train to call at West Derby station is seen pulling into the down platform on
5 November 1960. The train was en route to Aintree Central. A typical LMS / BR(LMR) gas lamp standard and a totem can be seen in the foreground.

The year 2012 was extremely wet. The trackbed at West Derby station resembled a canal more than a railway when this view looking south was taken on 29 December 2012.
