Station Name: WEST DERBYWest Derby station looking south from the track bed. The original signal box was situated at the southern end of the down platform seen to the right. It was replaced om 22 October 1905 by a new signal box on the opposite side of the line. The signal box controlled a crossover located in front of it and all movements into and out of the station goods yard which was located on the north side of Mill Lane. In 2013 the goods yard site was occupied by housing.
