Hadleigh station c1972. The canopy was shortened some time after closure to passengers and still covers the entrance to the booking hall. After closure to passengers in 1932 the booking office became a warehouse

Looking south from the buffers at Hadleigh station c1972. The building on the right is Wilson's Corn Mill with the cattle dock between the mill and the station. The Maltings are seen on the left. In later years the mill was rebranded as Wilson’s of Hadleigh.

During the 1970s and 1980s the station was used as a council store. The council had an office in the booking office. The structure in the background on the right is a water cooling tower for the maltings. It was built in later years at the end of the line.

Hadleigh station c1972, Wilson's corn mill is seen beyond the station. Several piles of coal are seen. Several local coal merchants, including Town Coal continued to trade from the station through the 1970s.

Hadleigh station forecourt in November 1974. The station building is fenced by Hadleigh Council and used by them as a store. The goods warehouse is seen on the right and the massive grain silo still dominates the sky.
