Weymouth station looking north along platform 3 from the buffer stops in March 1983. This was shortly after it was announced that the station was going to be rebuilt with only the excursion platform, which can be seen in the distance, remaining. This view was taken late in the morning after the rush hour crowds had dispersed. The station appears deserted: not a train or a passenger in sight
