The Welshpool & Llanfair Railway passenger facilities at Welshpool station seen in 1939. The Welshpool terminus for the narrow gauge line was adjacent to the goods yard which can be seen at the bottom of the view. To the right of the passenger station is a locomotive shed for the Welshpool & Llanfair line with an engine standing outside it. Passenger services on this line had ceased eight years earlier on 9 February 1931.
