Station Name: WATERFOOT FOR NEWCHURCH

[Source: Paul Wright & Alan Young]

Looking west at surving railway infrastructure at Waterfoot for Newchurch station in August 2010. A section of retaining wall can be seen beyond the traffic lights. The trackbed was adjacent to the wall and part of it still survives beyond the metal railings. The double track line would have occupied the space between the grey portacabin and the wall. The station itself was located in the space beyond the wall, after the red bus stop and before the building with the yellow sign.
