A Church Fenton train pulls out of Thorp Arch station c1960s. 61218 was built by north British Loco Co in Glasgow and entered service on 1 August 1957 at Leeds Neville Hill shed. A Thompson-designed B1, it was withdrawn on 3 July 1965 from 56B, Ardsley shed and scrapped during the August at Ellis Metals, Swalwell near Gateshead, one of only 7 locos broken up at this scrapyard.
