Talacre station looking west in October 1979. Standing at the up platform is a rake of coal wagons that would have been waiting to be hauled into Point of Ayr Colliery for loading.

A view looking east at the location of Talacre stations goods facilities in 1988. The single goods siding that served for public goods was located in the area at the bottom left of the photograph. The Point of Ayr Colliery sidings that had been installed in 1908 can also be seen. By this date an extension had been made to the sidings allowing trains to go closer to the colliery.
