Station Name: STUBBINS

Looking north along the former northbound platform at Stubbins station in August 2010. This platform was much shorter than the southbound because of the Stubbins Junction which was just behind the photographer. It was the point where the Bacup and the Accrington lines diverged. The Accrington lines passed behind the northbound platform. No platforms were provided for the accrington line at Stubbins. Also of note in the picture are the two posts to the left that once held the station nameboard.
