Signals at the north end of the Strabane CDR station seen in 1959. The signal to the right was for the Stranorlar platform. Prior to 30 June 1955 the larger signal arm was for the Londonderry Victoria Road branch. The smaller arm was for the engine shed and transhipment shed sidings. At this date the larger arm was controlling a truncated section of the Victoria Road line that had been retained to facilitate shunting. The signal to the left stands at the end of the Letterkenny branch platform.

A goods train is seen at the Stranorlar platform of Strabane CDR station on 21 August 1959. To its right is a CIE van, in green livery, stabled at the down loop platform of the former GNRI station. It was probably transferring mail to the CDR.
