On 26 August 1905 the LNWR ran a special inaugural train using the railmotor that had been specially built for the branch. The special train was for local dignitaries. This picture taken at the Dyserth branch platform at Prestatyn station shows some of the dignitaries along with railway staff posing for a picture next to the railmotor. It is likely that the picture would have appeared in the local newspapers and in the railway journals of the time.
