22 September 1962, the RCTS Mid Lancs Railtour 1X23 pulled by a Hughes Crab 42844 stands at Padiham's down platform on 22 September 1962. The platform on the right is the down one, on the other one (up platform), the unpaved area of the platform is covered by grass, the trees and bushes are encroaching onto the platform, and the old LMS Hawkseye station name sign is clearly visible.
