Looking west from the Featherstall Road South overbridge in September 2009. The station is behind the photographer to the east. The junction between the Thorpes Bridge and Middleton lines was at this location. The line to Manchester via Thorpes Bridge is visible in the picture.The line to Middleton Junction which ran down a 1 in 27 incline curved away sharply to the right where the trees now stand.
