Station Name: MILLFIELD (1st site)

Looking north-west towards Hylton Road bridge in 2001 as construction of the South Hylton Metro line progresses on the route of the former Sunderland to Penshaw line.  MiIllfield first station building was to the right of the distant bridge, and Millfield Metro station is being built just this side of the bridge.
