The Middlewich station up platform seen from a northbound train in the 1950s.

On the 5 February 1966 Middlewich station was visited by the Push and Pull Farewell Rail Tour. The tour which was organised by the LCGB is seen in this looking south-east taking on water at the down platform. The tour was so popular that it also ran on the 12 February 1966.
