Looking north from New Bridge Street in July 2005. Manors North station site is behind the photographer. The two road bridges are slip roads for the motorway. Beyond the second bridge. This view shows the site of New Bridge Street station which was bisected by the extension of the Blyth & Tyne into Manors and on to Newcastle Central. This line can be seen beyond the second bridge where it goes into a tunnel below the motorway junction curving to the east to join the East Coast Main Line east of the present Manors Metro station.
