Photo by Ron Hack An interesting sign at Manchester Mayfield station. The sign shows directions to the tramway which only opened on 20 July 1992. This was 5 years after the parcels depot closed and 32 years after the passenger station closed. Why such a sign would be fitted at Mayfield post 1992 remains a mystery.
