Looking north at the site of the Crown Street passenger station on 8 April 2014. The tall tower is a ventilation shaft for the 1829 wapping tunnel that was built in 1895/6 to facilitate locomotive working through the tunnel.

The site of the Crown Street passenger station was converted into a public park in the 1980s. As seen in this view from 8 April 2014 the entrance signs celebrate the sites history.
