Station Name: LANGHOLM

A loco takes on water at Langholm station in September 1949. The engine shed seen on the right was closed in May 1932 although the track wasn't lifted until the 1950s. 64511 is hauling a class B stopping; a Reid designed J35. Built by the North British Loco Co in 1910, this loco entered service as NBR No 381. Passing to the LNER, it was renumbered 9381 in 1924 and 4511 in 1946, then by BR to 64511. It was withdrawn from 66A, Polmadie shed in October 1959 and cut up shortly after.
