A southbound train waits at Hawick station c.1960s. 60037 is a Gresley A3 pacific named 'Hyperion'. Built in July 1934 and numbered 37 at LNER's Doncaster works, it passed into BR ownership at nationalisation when it was renumbered 60037. Withdrawn on 12.12.964 from 64A, St Margarets shed, it was cut up at Arnott Young, Carmyle in June 1964.
