Galashiels engine shed and coaling stage (left) in the 1960s. 67606 was originally an LNER V1, 2-6-2 tank loco, modified with a higher boiler pressure, (200 PSI) and reclassified as V3. All V3s were scrapped by the end of 1964 and their work was given to diesel railcars
