Looking north towards Fazakerley South Junction in May 1930. Works were underway to replace the bridge at Walton Hall Avenue with a girder bridge capable of spanning a new dual carriageway that had a tramway in its centre. The work was carried out between the last train on a Saturday night and the first one on the following Monday.
