A view looking south from the southern end of 'Carnarvon Town Line tunnel' along the trackbed of the line on 28 September 2012. Beyond the footbridge seen in the distance is the platform of the Welsh Highland Railway Caernarfon station. The cabins to the right housed the station booking facilities and a shop. The aim of the Welsh Highland Railway is to build a more substantial station at Caernarfon, possibly closer to the castle and harbour.
