RAILWAYS AT BIDSTON

Bidston station looking west in the late 1960s. The signalbox at the far end of the station was Dee Junction box. It was an LMS box dating to 1938 when the West Kirby line was electrified. It controlled Dee Junction which was the point where the former GCR line from Wrexham diverged. The line to Wrexham can be seen going off to the left.
