Station Name: FERRYHILL

Ferryhill station looking south-west on 25 February 1967. The platform roofing was installed early in the British Railways era replacing the glazed ridge-and-furrow canopies. In the background (right) the station building constructed in the 1840s can be seen; since the 1870s it was used only
as the stationmaster’s house.
