Looking north across the Lambton mineral railway level crossing on an unknown date. The Lambton Railways runs parallel with the Leamside line at this point. The NER signal box is of a double cantilevered-out design intended for constricted sites. In this case the box was shoehorned in between the passenger lines, and mineral lines seen here. Fencehouses station
is seen to the left of the mineral line.
