Looking north-east at Fencehouses in November 1966. Beyond the pair of tracks in the foreground and the signal box are the NCB tracks. At the far side of the level crossing the up platform of the disused passenger station can be seen. In the distance smoke is being emitted in large quantities by the New Lambton Coke Works.
