Dunham station looking west from the barrow crossing in January 1975. The post on the left was for an oil lamp. The barrow crossing was the main means of passenger access to the down platform and there was a lamp on each side of the crossing.

By January 1975 nature is beginning to take over the platforms at Dunham station. The goods shed can be seen on the far right. The track bed between the platforms has been partially infilled.

The waiting room on the down platform at Dunham station in January 1975. When Dunham opened there was only a short, narrow down platform with no buildings. The down platform was extended at its west end and the waiting room built after 1885. Note the two posts that once supported the running-in board.

Dunham station looking west from Station Road bridge in July 1982. The bridge still exists but today there is no view of the station due to trees and bushes. The coal bins seen in some of the pictures above on the left have been removed.

Looking north-west across Dunham station from Station Road in July 1982. The goods shed is unusual as it had two openings in the north end. The rails went through the furthest opening. The main cart access was on the far side so this second opening must have been a secondary access for carts to back up to the internal dock.

The former down platform waiting room has been extended and converted into a private residence, seen here in May 2010. The canopy seen here is not original, the waiting room never had a canopy. This is one of three separate properties using old railway buildings at Dunham. a fourth house on the site
is a new build.

Looking east from the top of the shallow cutting at Dunham station in May 2010. A footpath to the down platform ran along the top of the cutting. The buildings on the right are new. Behind the trees in the distance the roof of the main station building is seen and to its right the roof of the goods shed.
