Looking west at Dean Lane station in October 1959. The layout of the station is clearly shown. At this date Dean Lane station still had all of its facilities. Under the bridge can be glimpsed the Newton Heath Motive Power Depot. Two railway workers are walking along the track probably heading for the depot. In more recent years this practice was forbidden.
