30925 is seen working the RCTS ( East Midlands Branch) East Midlander No5 railtour at Church Fenton on 13 May 1962. In the company of 30925 is 40646. an ex-LMS 2P built in 1931 to a design by Henry Fowler at Crewe works. It entered service in September of that year and lasted until withdrawal from 21B, Bescot shed a few days after this picture was taken; it was scrapped in September of that year. 30925 was built in 1935 at Eastleigh works to Maunsells Schools design, entering SR service in the April as No 925 and named 'Cheltenham', it passed to BR and was renumbered 30925 then withdrawn in December 1962 but happily was preserved as part of the National Collection. Two other Schools locos are preserved, 925 'Repton' and 928 'Stowe'.
