The up platform at Carham, looking north-east, with the stationmaster’s house left foreground. The former goods loading bank in the distance is set well back from the down line as it was served by a siding, now removed. The photo was probably taken in winter 1963-64.

In early 1966 the down rails were removed and the photographer is standing on the trackbed ballast looking south-west. The up line, although disused, would remain in place until 1969/70. The up platform is in good repair though being colonised by vegetation, but the station buildings have been demolished. The trackbed of the goods siding can be seen far left.

Carham station looking north-east on 2 January 1976. The buildings have been demolished but the platforms survive. The down platform is to the right with its fence which appears to be of a 1930s/50s concrete and steel design.

Looking south-west from the level crossing at Carham station in March 2014. The down platform is being transformed into a garden, apparently with an eye to attractiveness in all seasons, as can be seen here in late winter / early spring.
