Stephenson Society/Manchester Locomotive Society Carlisle Railtour at Canonbie station on 6th April 1963. The loco is ex-NBR 256. A Reid design for the NBR, it was built at Cowlairs in 1913 and named Glen Douglas. It was classified by the LNER as D49. Passing to BR it was renumbered 62469 until withdrawn in 1959, when it was preserved and given its original number 256 and used on railtours until 1965. The loco is now preserved in a static condition.
