Looking west from the stations entrance gateway in January 2010. The flat ground in the middle of the picture was a level crossing which carried the now closed public highway over the line. The station site is to the left of the picture out of view. The line survived until 1982 to serve the Brymbo Steelworks. After crossing the road it curved sharply to the west. The continuation of the route can be seen to the right of the modern housing estate where a section of embankment is still extant.
