The eastern elevation of the main building at Boldon Colliery on 20 September 1970. The station has been unstaffed for almost a year, and the building is in residential use. The awkward placing of the timber shed so close to the porch spoils the dignity of the station building. The bay window, a hallmark of the work of architect G T Andrews, will be noted.
