Station Name: BIRKENHEAD MONKS FERRY
The only evidence
that Monks Ferry station ever existed is the bridge wall on Church Street. The line
ran under Church Street and to the west passed into a deep cutting for a short distance
before going into the Monks Ferry tunnel. This view from 21 May 2005 is looking
north-west.
