Station Name: BEDLINGTON

[Source: Alan Young]

In May 1965 a train of empty coal wagons is hauled north by 65811 past Bedlington South signal box and is about to pass the station on the down track, which has no passenger platform. 65811 was built at North British Loco Works in Glasgow in May 1908. A Worsdell G5 design, it had a working life of just over 59 years when it was withdrawn from 52G, Sunderland shed in September 1967.
