 sj_old43.jpg) Bedford St Johns signal box c 1980s. The original box was damaged by fire in 1977. It was rebuilt with a British Railways London Midland Region type 15 design top on the original brick base. The box closed on 23 July 2004 when the Bletchley to Bedford line closed for rebuilding, reopening on 6 September 2004 and controlled from Marston Vale Signalling Control Centre at Ridgmont.
