Alston station on a wet day in September 1955. Loco is a BR standard 4 Mogul, 76049,  2-6-0. Built in 1955, its first shed was 52A, Gateshead. It was withdrawn on 31/1/66 from Bathgate and scrapped by Motherwell machine and scrap on 31/5/66. It appears to be working a class 2 stopping train as indicated by the single headlamp.
